"Using DBpedia's data to trace the influential artists", a visualization work is presented at the Beauty of Data Exhibition, Feb. 2016 -- at the MuseLab, SLIS, KSU

This work visualizes the artists that were influenced by two important artists, using the data obtained from DBpedia, [1] the Linked Data datasets of Wikipedia. The tasks include: a) Obtain data through DBpedia’s endpoint[2] using a SPARQL query generated using a template that I created. [3] b) Clean up the data gathered from DBpedia that responding the query, using the CSV (Comma-separated values) file. c) Visualize the data using an open source tool, Gephi. [4]  The purpose is to help ordinary users to obtain artists network data in a minute without learning the complicated SPARQL query language and to present it beautifully.
